Calibration of a track geometry measuring modules

Computer controlled calibration process:
Touch screen TQM Calibrator software controls two types of TQM track geometry measuring modules calibrations: Factor Calibration and Zero Calibration. Each type of this calibration is run by one dedicated screen containing access to all TQM measuring modules

Track geometry modules - Factor Calibration Screen

A Certified Block size needs to be inputted in a window provided and respective voltage recorded. Operation to be repeated 3 times per module with various block sizes. Software displays Factor Validation Difference (FVD) and Validates against stored criteria. In case of FVD meeting FVD criteria, new Factor is Accepted otherwise Rejected. The procedure is repeated for all Calibration of a TQM track geometry measuring modules

Track geometry modules - Zero Calibration Screen
Voltage reading is recorded when module is in a required position (three times per module). Software displays Zero Validation Difference (ZVD). In case where ZVD meets ZVD criteria a new Zero is Accepted otherwise Rejected
The procedure is repeated for all Calibration of a TQM track geometry measuring modules

Calibration File of a TQM track geometry measuring modules
Factor and Zero Calibration parameters with their respective Calibration Date are stored in a dedicated TQM Calibration file. The content of this file is copied into TQM data recording file Header
