Instrumentation
Instruments used for Stud Coordinate Validation or Stud Coordinate establishment should be of high specification (+/-1”,+/-1mm) robotic Total Station (e.g. Leica 1201)
Total Station location
On-board Total Station positioning can vary and can be adapted alongside imposed restrictions of movement in 6/4 foot area. Position I has no movement restriction imposed whilst for Position II surveying party needed to be contained within 4 foot area
Track Prism Gauge
Track Prism Gauge (TPG) forces its positioning along the tracks normal and allows speedy track survey and automated coordinate reduction using specialised software (n4CE)
TQM Measuring rollers
TPG is equipped with TQM measuring rollers permitting the proper tooling positioning against worn rails
